The Passive House Institute is preparing a large programme for the upcoming RosBuild 2023. One of its most important events will be the 25th Conference on Technologies for the Design and Construction of Energy Efficient Buildings. One of the topics to be discussed at the conference will be the certification of the first passive house to be completed in the Moscow region.

The Passive House Institute, together with the construction company Polak, is completing an energy-efficient project: the construction of the Istra Passive House in the Moscow region.

Preliminary calculations show that this house is unparalleled in energy efficiency in Russia and fully meets the German passive house standard, i.e. the heat consumption for heating will be less than 15 kWh/m2 per year.

Products from renowned Russian and foreign companies were used in the project. The specialists from Polysfera carried out the PU foam coating, and Teplofom carried out the exterior insulation. VentMax installed the ventilation system, Rehau installed the window frames and doors, and Vitro installed the double-glazed windows. Mezenburg carried out the warm extraction installation, Turkov was responsible for the air distribution system, and Mamut installed the heat pumps for the low-power heating, hot water supply and cooling system. Technonikol carried out the thermal insulation for the foundation slab and the wedge insulation for the flat roof, and SAZI sealed the window units.

Products from most of these companies will be on display at the Passive House exhibition at RosBuild 2023. At the exhibition, as well as at the free Workshop on Energy-efficient Technologies in Construction, organised by PASSIVE HOUSE, visitors will be able to study in detail the materials and energy-efficient technologies used in this project.

The Passive House Institute, together with the construction company Polak, plans to certify the Istra Passive House to the PHI standard. The presentation of the project will take place on 2 March at the 25th Conference on Technologies for the Design and Construction of Energy-Efficient Buildings, Passive House, held within Russian Construction Week.

A visit to the construction site with presentations of all details of the construction progress, the materials and technologies used, including renewable energy sources, will be organised over the weekend of 4 and 5 March for partners, professionals and everyone interested.
