Iran's national pavilion is organised at Russian Construction Week for the first time. Eleven Iranian companies are presenting their products.
Kazem Jalali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, opened the national display. In a conversation with journalists, he noted that due to the withdrawal of large chain shops such as IKEA and OBI from the Russian market, Iranian companies have an opportunity to enter the Russian market.
For his part, President of the Iranian Chamber of Cooperatives Bahman Abdollahi recalled that a cooperation agreement was signed in 2022 with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to expand the supply of Iranian goods in Russia, and preliminary agreements were reached to open Iranian chain shops.
Alexey Vyalkin, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO, took part in the opening ceremony of Iran's national pavilion. He expressed satisfaction with the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the exhibition sector and interest of Iranian manufacturers in the Russian market. According to Alexey Vyalkin, participation of Iranian companies in the national exposition format resulted from a business mission of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held in November 2022.
"According to our estimates, this year the representation of Iranian companies at EXPOCENTRE's exhibitions will increase 12-fold," said the Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO. “This is a unique indicator, we understand that it reflects the desire and capabilities of Iranian companies to enter the Russian market”.
